College staff threaten to strike over pay dispute

The Herald reports that Unison staff in the City of Glasgow College threaten strike action over pay! (link below)

This follows on from Anniesland College EIS Branch moving to 'a dispute' over their pay claim - as noted in The Correlate yesterday.

The City of Glasgow College claimed in a report that it had salary harmonisation but this appears not to be the case as we hear that there are outstanding issues relating to part-time teaching staff.

It has also been asked - Can you have salary harmonisation when there are different condistions of service?

Who wrote the report? The City of Glasgow College?

We referred to the report by the City of Glasgow College as 'A work of Fiction' - it is sure looking like it now!

When do we get a truly independent, open and transparent report on the actual position in the City of Glasgow and indeed for the other 'mergers' that are in progress?
