Oor Henry - A Repeat performance?
09/10/2014 00:05We were interested enough to have a look at Oor Henry it's "a muddle not a fiddle" expenses....
in the BBC news 6 November 2001 (link was added to the previous article)
“There was no personal gain involved, there was no political gain”
He said the cash had been spent on “general run-of-the-mill office items” rather than staffing!
In the Scotsman …. 28 March 2014
With regard to his office claim for more than £135,000 in costs in his two years overseeing the Glasgow College Region .......
However, Mr McLeish has hit back, saying that none of the money went to him personally or was signed off by him, but was mostly used to pay for staff, offices and carrying out work requested by the Scottish Government.
We note the mostly used for and the Scotsman quote also states “more than all the other regions combined.”
More than the 12 other regions combined?
Phew! Now that’s what one might call a whopper of a muddle!
