The Football Teams have Left the Building

21/11/2014 10:33

The Education Scotland Football Teams have left Glasgow Clyde College and their inspection report is expected to be available in January 2015!

An email issued by the Director of Quality and Performance included....

"As you know, CMT received initial feedback from Education Scotland on Tuesday with the provisional outcomes of last weeks’ Review.  Their findings are subject to moderation and cannot be shared widely but I am happy to inform you that it is likely that Glasgow Clyde College will receive a judgement of effectiveness from Education Scotland in:

High quality learning;
Learner engagement, and
Quality culture.

There are also likely to be three main points for action pertaining to attainment, programme design and improvement in self-evaluation.  All areas we were already aware of and have taken action to address. Expect me to be visiting Faculties soon with clearer plans"

Apparently staff were not aware of any initail feedback until receipt of the email and are now left wondering where on the scale ' a judgement of effectiveness ' sits?

They interestingly include attainment which we would suggest is refelcted in high quality learning and learner engagement?

We will of course bring you more on this as reports come in from the campuses!
